How do you put elastic bands in the arms of a football jersey.?

fold the hem under and sew close to the loose edges, leave a half inch opening. Measure elastic to fit add a half inch cut then place a safety pin on one end and tread it thru then stitch ends together overlapping one quarter inch each end and stitch the slit closed.
