Saw 1 was much better. I found it to be much more "gritty" than Saw 2. It seemed like an original idea.
I really thought Saw 2 was predictable and not at all scary, except for the part where the chick falls in the pile of needles. That was pretty messed up. I hated the ending. I thought the successor killer idea was ridiculous, especially since it was a girl who was tortured herself in Saw 1.

I liked Saw II better because there was more people in the plot. The first one was good but the actors were kinda crappy the ending was awesome, though, wasn't expecting that. The ending on the second one was also awesome. They are both good movies. I can't wait to see the third one.

Saw 1. The first one is always better than the sequels. With the second one you anticipated some of the things that were going to happen.

I prefer Saw 1 because it makes you think more and the ending was so unexpected - to me Saw 2 was good but not as original as the first and to me had a predictable ending.

"The budget for Saw II is bigger, the acting is better and the plot holes aren't as glaring (although, when you sit back and think about the movie, you realize it has its fair share of plot holes) as they were in the first Saw. All of this leads to a film that's "Easy on the Cheese."
