Make sure you make eye contact as much as possible to assure
mutual feelings if he gives you the same look your giving him go for it. If not make him acknowledge you . Smile at him and say nice haircut or nice shirt when he smiles just walk away. You should be getting a response soon. If not hes probably gay.

I have generally found that people do not like to be randomly approached and flirted with in school, for most people, it makes them uncomfortable. I would wait to see if I had a class or activity in common with him, then see if I could talk to him in one of those, in the context available.

You don't just randomly go up to him (use some tact)! Waiting for him to up to you will only work if he has expressed some interest in you beforehand. If he didn't, then there's a slim chance that he'll approach you.
Think about ways that you two are connected. Like, do you have a class with him? Maybe a common sport? Are you friends with one of his friends, or is he friends with one of your friends?
Use these as opportunities to get to know him better. I mean, he's gorgeous, but is he a great guy?
