the current processor for ultimate gaming power is the AMD dual core FX series processor. I would recommend tell after Christmas because Intel has said they are ready to come out with a quad core processor meaning there will be one processor chip with 4 processor cores on 1 single chip. Your computer should recognize it as 4 processors unless its a vista system.

unfortunately, being an AMD fan, Intel just released the core duo extreme.....it basically mops the floor with the AMD FX 64
