The idea that human life has "meaning" is a concept propogated by the various religions of the world. As there is no concrete answer to this question, they know that millions of people will turn to religion hoping to learn the "secret" of our existence, and Hey Presto! these religions then have power and control over peoples minds. And as a brief look at our glorious human history will tell you, these so-called religions then use that control to send people all over the world to kill ,subjugate and steal from others.
Do you think ants or dogs waste time thinking about the "meaning" of their existence? Only humans have such arrogance. We're just animals, like all the other species on this planet. Eat,breath, reproduce (or not,as the case may be) and eventually die.No great mystery there. Just enjoy life while you can.

No answer from outside will explain it clearly for you. The true answer must come from your inner reflections. Of course, life has a meaning. There are harmony in Universe, everything are joined by subtle ties. Nature does not work by leisure. Everything has a meaning, but we cannot understand the Universe with our simple senses. We can understand clearly that a so complex creature like humans will not come to existence without a reason and as we are the most complete and complex creature in Earth surface, then our mission is very, very important... but we must find de meaning of life... the answer will come from inside.

For the last answerer, '42' I think is from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where 42 was the answer to the question of life, but they didn't know what the question was.

I think the meaning of life is for each of us to experience the universe, discover what the existence of such a universe means, and apply that discovery to our daily lives. For me, the mere existence of the universe points to a higher power, and that means for me that I must understand and obey that power.

I have searched the meaning of life for ten years. What I have learned is that life would be useless if you only love those who loves you. What is the purpose? To serve and not to be served, love the Lord your God, because life is so short and you will face Him later.

It's a test. If it had been an actual life, you would have been instructed where to go for the next message.

“Life is made up of small pleasures. Happiness is made up of those tiny successes. The big ones come too infrequently. And if you don't collect all these tiny successes, the big ones don't really mean anything.”
