It's just to ease cramps when I get my period. the pain is so bad i nearly cry and sometimes I have to skip school. I don't want to do that anymore.
What are the procedures when I got to the doctor and tell them I need to be put on it? I mean i'll tell him the deal with the cramping and stuff but I heard they have to do stuff down THERE to you? I dunno about all of that.. I've never had sex and I'm not planning on taking advantage of the pill for it.
Can anyone help me out?

Ok, I'm getting the answer I want AND the answer I don't want. I'm hoping they won't have to do any exams because, yeah. Some of you guys are saying I will need an exam, some of you are saying it's pretty simple you just go get it and get asked a couple questions.

You have every right to be on birth control to ease your pain. I'm very happy that your parents are mature enough to help you out with this problem, even if it involves giving birth control to their baby girl!
Yes they might have to give you an exam. Don't worry though, the gynecologist is a professional doctor who knows what she is doing. You can request a female doctor if that makes you more comfortable. Read here to find out about what goes on in a gyno office:

All you have to do is talk to the doc and tell her exactly what's going on with your body. Tell her that you're not planning on having sex anytime soon, but you have really bad cramps and you would like to be put on the Pill. Maybe you want your mom to come with you, that's totally up to you. Best of luck!

First of all let me say that it is a good thing that you are firm in your decision to not start having sex. As you know there is plenty of time for that later on.
When you say your parents are putting your on birth control, it's a little confusing. I think if they think birth control is something that should be done, then at least your mother should be going to the doctor's office with you and talking to the doctor.
Usually, doctor's prescribe birth control after they have done a female examination which includes a Pap Smear. I've included a link here so you can read up on it. In your case, you have never been sexually active so there is probably no need for you to have a Pap Smear. The doctor may just ask you some questions and record your height and weight.
Birth Control pills will regulate your period, and may relieve severe cramping and heavy flow. But the bottom line, you should talk to you mom. And know that even if your parents have decided they want you on birth control, the doctor may have another alternative.
Good Luck.

I think a lot of this depends on whether you are in the UK or the USA. In the UK, you will not have to have any kind of pap smear or internal examination before you are prescribed the pill. THe doctor will ask some general questions, weigh you and check your blood pressure and as long as everything is ok, will give you a prescription.
In the USA, things seem to be a bit different - I don't know how things work, but I know pap smears and internal exams seem to be done a LOT........like every year from the age of 16 or something crazy like that. In which case, yes they probably would do an examination first. Personally (and as a doctor) I really don't think it's necessary for such regular examinations, and I don't think it's necessary for an examination before you're prescribed the pill. In the UK, this is NOT standard practice.

Well, you'll more than likely get a Pap Smear just to check out whats going on down there. If your cramps are so painful, they might do a test for fibroids. Thats what happened to my sister. Other than that, ask for the lowest hormonal pill like Yasmin. And take it at night with any other multi-vitamin or by itself so you won't feel any side affects during the day.
The good thing about the pill is that it'll will regulate periods and reduce cramps. Good luck

Sounds like you are on the right track. Even if you are on the pill, you should use a condom to protect yourself if you have sex in case your partner has an STD.
Yes, your doctor will examine you. But first they are going to ask you a lot of questions that may seem embarassing, one will be if you have ever had sex, and they will try to be extra gentle when they learn you have not had sex.
The procedure can be "uncomfortable," but it is not generally what I would call painful.
If you are not too embarassed about it, you could have your mother go in with you. When I started the pill (I was having sex with the guy who is now my husband, but was still 17 at the time), I had my mother go with me for my first visit because she knew what it was like. And because we are really open, she already knew the answers to the questions.

A doctor will not perform a physical exam when giving you a prescription for the pill. He'll ask some routine questions, easy as that.

They will most likely do a physical exam. They did for me anyway.
It's not that bad. It's uncomfortable and embarassing, but it isn't really painful. I was a virgin when I had my first pap and pelvic exam. If it helps the cramping, it will be worth it.
If you're really nervous about it, I would recommend seeing a female physician.
