Recently, I purchased Buffalo WLI-CB-G54HP with an antenna.

Everything is fine. I just installed the driver, and Buffalo works well.
However, the problem is that I couldn't find any other networks although I used Net Stumbler. The only thing can be detected was my router.

So, now I feel like I did typical things that other people did.
Hmm. This problem makes me really frustrated.

Anyway, I want you guys to help me with basic things first.
Then, I wanna hear some information about wheter Buffalo is good or not.

Please!!! I think Yahoo! should filter some stupid people here. If you really want to help me, DO NOT just write a web address. If you really know a good website that has information about Buffalo, I would appreciate your effort.

Note that currently I'm at home to do wardriving. (feel like i'm not doing real wardriving. However, I could detect many wireless networks in my neighborhood.

Maybe the wireless networks that you are illegally trying to connect don't have the range to connect to your device without an external directional antenna.

It's funny that you somehow think Yahoo should filter answers for you illegal activity.

Stealing internet is theft of services. Breaking into someone's router is the same as breaking into their house.

Not sure abut that particular card, but you might want to find out what kind of chip it has and see if it supports promiscuous mode. Since you'll need to be using Linux to crack WEP keys anyway, you should be able to easily find out which driver/chip it's using. Pretty much, the de facto standard card for that type of thing are the Lucent/Proxim ORiNONO series so you might want to return it and get one of those. Check Ebay since your local Best Buy tends to just sell crap.

7 years later...I am telling you this Bill...You was a retarded troll at that time. I hope for your sake you have changed since back then.
"Other Network" Doesn't mean he was trying to connect to Private Network... If people Leave their network "Open" with out a wep key then it is "Public" and Legal.
