When i google myself, because i have a web site,my personal address and phone number can be bought. i want this to stop.

1. Avoid further disclosure of personal information.

2. Go to your Domain Registrar and use non-existent / phony personal information instaed.

3. Chances of people wanting to buy your personal information is minimal. After all, you're only on the bottom of the food chain when compared to more high-profile individuals.

Quite frankly, stealing personal information is a paranoia. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

There is no such software. The information being provided comes from private and public data bases. Some of the information such as your address and telephone number are relatively easy to get, and some information such as social security number can be difficult to get but still obtainable.

The only thing you can do is to not do things that carry a record.

Even if you weren't on the internet, I could buy information about you that is available from public sources. There is limited privacy in the world. Get used to it.

You can protect your WHOIS information.

Ask the host of your website how to do it.
