For sure! Their music is timeless! All the younger crowd I know listen to Led Zepp! Robert Plant's vocals are awesome, and Jimmy Page is one of the best guitarists of all time! We could all use a little Led for our head!

Yes. Their music has survived as long as it has by being the best. The real question is this...If Led Zeppelin was a new band starting out now, where would all of today's bands be without having had the experience of Zeppelin to inspire them?

The musical culture and times have radically changed. Zep started out as a blues based rock band. Back then "blues rock" was big. Ever since Stevie Ray died, any remnants of blues rock died. (Where are you ZZ Top?). A blues rock based band would be too unique for these times maybe.
But Zep was flexible. They could play pure rock as well as English folkrock and other sub genres. They were versatile enough to adapt to current trends maybe. Can you imagine a Zep collision with Jay Z or Nelly? You will never know.

im pretty close to being 100% sure that they would. There's very few bands (if any at all) around today whose music is as massively epic, timeless and universal as that of led zep. They will be remembered as long as pop music and culture exists. Bands such as Coldplay, who are considered one of the biggest bands in the world today, will not.

I think so. A great band will always be a great band. Look at how they have survived and been popular through so many decades.

Gerry - they would be more massive today! Can you imagine them at all the rock festivals? Nothing would beat them. Although I reckon with modern day attention spans they would have to cut down drum and guitar solos by half and hour!!!
