anyone on hotmail? everytime switch computer on it says on messenger that we are offline ...change to online and will still come as offline when computer on again ...can it be changed permanently to online and how do you do it???????

Log out but don't close the messenger, then make sure you haven't got "Sign is an offline" status in the drop down box below your password input box

I got ticked off and switched to Yahoo - 3 years ago!

before you sign in change your status by clicking and then click on online.Next time you sign on you will be online.

you cant change it permanetly to online but try uninstalling the whole software and then reinstalling it
