If this career pays well, I will consider sumo wrestling as a side career. However, I am thin and athletic which perhaps will not meet the requirements for becoming a sumo wrestler. Could I still become a sumo wrestler if I duct tape several pillows around myself?

I don't know that the pillow thing would work, here is how you eat like a Sumo wrestler.

Sumo wrestlers are geniuses at gaining weight. Here, according to Mary Roach, contributing editor of Health Magazine is how they do it:

Skip Breakfast - it slows your metabolism
Exercise on an empty stomach - it slows your metabolism even more
Take a nap after you eat - your body has to store the food instead of use it
Eat bigger meals late in the day - your body has to store more food

Good luck in your endeavor :)

Sumo wrestlers spend many years in training. It is not taken lightly in Japan, they are very respected. They start by working and cleaning and taking care of the Sumo wrestlers.

My husband use to always tease me about Sumo wrestlers. He was only kidding me because I have short squatty legs. At least I think so sometimes. Most people look at me like I'm crazy when I say that because I am so slender. My legs are actually only muscular, not fat. They are strong and healthy. So I guess you would probably have to be like me to become a Sumo wrestler (tee hee!).

The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career.
