I completely agree with you. I don't understand how could it be so difficult for some people!? If Yahoo put the spell checker right there ^ !!!
Maybe they're just lazy or don't really know their grammar or spelling... or they just don't care!
I find it hard to answer such questions... those with grammatical horrors!!! And English is not even my native language!!! (Spanish is!)
Anyways...... thanks for pointing that out.

Oh goodness, yes...but in most cases, it is far beyond anything that a simple spell check will correct...I just hope that people take their schooling seriously. I can only hope that the ones with the biggest mistakes are younger and have many more English classes ahead of them.
...and looking at these answers, it is even more apparent. (the first answer spelled "too" instead of "to" in one case (then again, however, that is something spell check will not catch...people just need to pay more attention...but everyone makes mistakes).

I think that if a person is going to post an arrogant question or answer then yes, they ought to check their spelling.
If someone is just asking a simple question , telling a joke, or trying to be helpful -- it'd be nice if they did check their spelling but I'm not one to downgrade anyone for making mistakes. It's the motive behind the answer/question that matters to me.
I see people down talking others who answered this question because they spelled something incorrectly-- and their spelling or grammar is pathetic too! This happens all the time. This is what I think is a shame.
If you're going to talk bad about someone, you'd better take the time to double check yourself.

No, it's not just you. It's poor in MOST cases and yes, apparently they are to lazy, or stupid to use spell checker. Grammar is atrocious too in many cases. They get angry if you point this out. Mature people would take it as a clue to learn something, but no this bunch of losers.

Well, I agree that people should use spell check as their English is very poor.

Some girl asked about having sex and could not spell at all. Another girl asked about failing exams and had misspelled three of four things. They say it is because of text messages. I say they do not even try. And it is going to be sad when they try to fill out a resume.

NO. I think people are emotionally challenged here. They want to get their question OUT THERE as fast as they can. Same with the answerers. Most people can understand what people are asking even if the spelling is wrong. I wouldn't waste my time with spellcheck for this site.

Yes, though remember English is not a first language for most people.

No, it is not just you. Some of the questioners drive me nuts trying to decipher what they are asking. I have gotten to the point of skipping over anything like that.
