I have used it before on my old computer so I don't understand... It is taking 4ever for it to connecct(Same connection as before) and then it finally says"need more sources". I went to the help page and did all the firewall access stuff and still nothing. Suggestions?

are you in an apartment
if your internet is split among many people, then when everybody uses it it will be slower
also check to see if u have the newest version of java

"need more sources" means it cannot download from the source (the file if you will) that you have selected. Select a different file in the list. This happens when the host you want to download from isn't available or there are too many connections to it. Basically it amounts to try again later. But that only applies if you are trying to download a file but that is the only time you should get that error. Oh... and wait until you have at least a "good" connection before you start downloading anything. And always check the file you download for viruses before you launch it.

Need more sources is the response to an unavailable file.
If, for example, somebody shares thistextfile.txt it will be listed when you do a search. Remember the whole point of limewire and similar file sharing programs is that multiple people host the same file, the list of available files is cached aswell.. The file you want is just not available therefore more sources are needed to download it.
Maybe whoever shared it just isn't online, or they've deleted it but it's nothing to do with your connection.

I have Limewire too...but before I connect I have to disconnect the firewall. It will not search for anything as long as the firewall is connected. Once you have selected your downloads and are downloading them you may re-connect the firewall and it will continue to download the song but will not search for songs....hope this is helpful! Limewire makes your computer very vunerable to viruses!
If you will keep it get AVG Antivirus http://grisoft.com
ANd for your question just right click on the song and click get more resources!

well i have limewire and that happens to me sometimes and i think theres a button that says "find more sources" so try that

its sad when people use limewire...cuz they mostly use it for music...tisk tisk tisk...if u want to use limewire for evil (filesharing music) i have but one thing to say:
