I was born on the anniversary of the Boston Massacre. People were shot at and killed on my birthday. People were murdered, masaccered, poisoned, slaughtered on the day of my birth. I celebrate my birthday with happiness. Tragedy happens everyday and I don't think it's weird to celebrate a day for yourself.

My really good friend's birthday is on the 11th of Sept. and she's really excited about it. She doesn't want to focus on what happened on her birthday five years ago.

To support the earlier answer, by the end of 1945, the deaths as a result of the USA's atomic bombing of Japanese civilians was 140,000 for Hiroshima (August 6th) and 70,000 for Nagasaki (August 9th). On September 11th, 2001 just under 3,000 people died in the attacks on the World Trade Center. For me that puts things in perspective. I bet you didn't even know the dates or death tolls of this, the USA's greatest ever war crime.

whats the big deal with 9-11.don't you think america is about the biggest hypocrites in the world today? What about the people who have birthdays on the day we bombed Japan,Iraq,Viet Nam,etc.....It's time to get over it,why can you accept all the death we have dealth other countries, but, think it was so wrong that someone finally kicked us back?We justify our actions has acts of war but, declare all attacks aganist us has terrorism.Bullshiit, you can't have it both ways.9-11 is just another day!
