YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need at the minimum of a batchelors degree in Business.

That is the safest way to learn about all of the legal stuff you need to know about workers comp. insurance, medical insurance, business owners insurance, marketing, taxes, climate surveys, getting a business license, finding out how to look up laws on noise regulations, food serving and safety, zoning laws, how to get an alcohol license, is it legal in that area to allow people to smoke inside?, draw up your articles of incorporation, incorperate yourself or limited liability corporation?, how to protect your personal property and valuables so that you don't loose your shirt in a lawsuit, fair employment laws.......the list goes on and on.

Not getting a business degree is a sure way to end up filing bankruptcy.

To own anything, no degree's required.

But the question is how do you come to own something?... it usually involves money. Assuming dad's not willing to mortgage his house so you can buy a club outright, you'll probably need to earn the money. And while there are exceptions, generally higher education tends to land one in higher-paying jobs... but at a cost: multiple years of your life studying and drinking beer. And owning and running a nightclub also requires a lot of business skills, some of which you may pick up studying for a degree.

But all that aside, the best way to learn to do something is to get out there and do it... I'd suggest starting off at a night club, even in a menial job, just to get exposed to the business. From there, work your way up and look into simultaneously getting a part time biz degree... and save a bit. When the time's right and you spot the right opportunity to either partner with someone or buy a place of your own, you should have the foundation built to pursue your dream.

Good luck!

All you need to own them is money.
Keeping them and running them as successful businesses requires a bit more than dollars though, so I recommend a business degree at least, unless you want to be ripped off by whoever ends up handling things.
