Im new to this dating thing could you help me?

I hate to ask this but Im 16 and ive never had a date or a girlfriend before could someone give me some advice.Im occasionaly shy but id like to talk to more/new people.Im not very good at it so im asking you guys to help me you can im me or email me i just need some help.
