i heard gmail is better than yahoo...and i dont know how to go get an email address...i guess someone has to invite you to gmail. please invite me! email me!

Well, you can either get invited or you can signup with a mobile phone (i.e. no invitation needed). Gmail Help page has this to say:
"2. How do I sign up?
You can get a Gmail account if you're invited by someone who already has one. Or, you can sign up for an account using your mobile phone."
I have a couple of invitations left. If you send me an email, I can send you one.

You have to be invited by some user,Im one but my 100 invites just vanished.if i get 1 again i will surely give you.

u can also submit your cellphone # and receive a text message thatll let u activate your own gmail account...and thats what i did! i have a gmail! but i mostly did it for the googlepages

You can do it by invitation or you can do it by mobile phone..I did it by mobile phone...you give them your mobile phone # it sends you a text msg with the info you need and they you sign up
