Iran needs to have electricity but why do they not let their facilities be inspected if they have nothing to hide? Fair is fair, Is everyone going to look the other way while Iran intimidates more countries with their oil prices. No respect for Iran. They do nothing to contribute to the economy of Iran and their citizens.

Dabbling in the nuclear arts will always derive scorn from other countries around the world because there is a fine line between nuclear power and weapons production. Once fission begins in a reactor core, it is basically a bomb inside the core wanting to get out so if Iran possesses that technology, all they have to make is a warhead that can control the energy until it needs to be released. Iran has no reason to not research weapons. They no if they have them it is just one more way to intimidate their neighbors and the west and you can bet they want that power.

Iran is willing to let the IAEA have full inspection rights to their facilities. However, they insist they have the right to enrich Uranium, which they do under the NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty). The problem is Iran concealed their nuclear program, which is a treaty violation.

Right now, they're probablty just trying to get a security guarantee from the US. Can't blame them considering our invasion of Iraq.

The Iranian government may be brutal and corrput, but they get away with it because too many countries are stupid enough to depend on hydro-carbons for their energy needs. America leads the way in oil consumption, so we're part of the reason Iran is so powerful.

no longer something approximately Iran's rhetoric and movements has been "non violent" consequently far. I bear in mind a information checklist exhibiting the Iranian defense force marching interior the form of a sword reducing by way of an American flag. The day till now Ahmadinejad got here to united states of america of america some month in the past, he gave a speech in Iran, status in front of a banner that study, "dying To united states of america of america". Iran poses a possibility that must be dealt with. he's a unfastened cannon.

If Iran or Russia or China demanded access to US facilities, just to be sure do you think the US is going to say "sure, we have nothing to hide"?

And does it matter whether the facilities are only for civilian power generation or not? Either Iran is going to be preemptively attacked, or we're going to wait until their country attacks someone first.

Any concept of international law has been abandonded by the US long ago, so it's just a matter if whether the US decides to attack first.

No, i'm not convinced that Iran is not developing nuclear weapons. The question of inspection is one of soveriegnty for the Iranians. They don't see that letting another country come in say what technology it is or is not allowed to develop violates its soveriegnty as a country. How would the U.S. react if the U.N. wanted to come in and investigate us for developing biological weapons?
