im on the DEPO shot and ive been on it for a while and ive been really sick lately. I took a test a little over a month ago b/c ive felt sick for a while, and it turned up negitive, then i took another one, again it was negitive. i went to the doctors b/c i didnt know if i was pregnant and they thought i was and they had me take a urine test, it also turned up negitive, so now i have to go get an ultrasound to see whats wrong. Has anyone out there been on DEPO and gotten pregnant and had all urine test show up negitive then turned up to be pregnant???

The only thing you can't get is a false positive, many people get false negatives. It just means there is not enough of the hormones in your urine/blood to detect pregnancy. Or you could just be sick. I was on the shot for 9 years and never got pregnant. It would depend how long you have been on it and if you've had any lapses between shots. The depo shot is like 99% of the time effective, so nothing is perfect. Anyway, I would go ahead and do the ultrasound to be positive and to make sure there's nothing else going on.

I was on the DEPO shot and it made me feel sick some or all the time but I never got pregnant from it. I switched back to b/c pills because to me, I just felt more safe with taking a pill everyday.

Sounds like you may be obsessing with pregnancy and ruling out other more likely possibilities. If your doctor say negative and you're on birth control and test come back neg then HEY...you're not pregnant. Just let ur doctors get to the root of the prob.

I myself am a doctor. According to what you said i'm 90% sure that you are pregnant or in the process of being pregnant. As you know there are some levels in which you get pregnanat.

Take the ultrasound. Then you will know. I have known of people getting pregnat but not the negitve results of the tests
