Your best bet is to search the Education Agency that represents the state you live in. ex. Texas Education Agency
Most of the time it will be referred to as an alternative certification program. Most programs consist of classes you must attend every week, on site visits from your program instructor to the school that hires you.
My job involves training and supporting new teachers. Good Luck!

Yes - in Ontario, Canada, anyone who wishes to become a teacher must first obtain an undergraduate degree and meet specific course requirements for the particular subject area in which they wish to teach.

Afte taking an appropriate courseload in their undergrad, teacher candidates are then eligible to apply to Teacher's College to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Education. This one year program provides instruction on how to teach and is tailored for candidates wishing to teach at the elementary, middle or high school level.
