Everyone Spells my name wrong it's Megan simple i know but people spell it like Megean or Megahn or megen and it;s getting really,really annoying and when I yell at someone for spelling it wrong they are like 'well sorry i didden't know that you were so ultra-sensative'and i'm getting really P.O-ed now am i really being ultra-sensative?Has this ever happened to you?What did you do to stop it?

well before it diden't bother me but now it's like my best friends and when i tell them they still spell it wrong

your name is easy! try living with the name Elana! people always think it's Elaine or Elaina or Alanna and it gets ANNOYING!
Thats why I go with my nickname, Ace.
Also, my last name goes from Sadlon to salon to salmon to salad to fadlon to sandler!!! its crazy!!!

I politely correct people (S-t-e-v-e-n not s-t-e-f-e-n or s-t-e-p-h-e-n!!!) and then if they continue to spell it wrong after the second time they get it wrong I ignore them, "oh, sorry I thought you meant someone else cause that is not my name", unless it's something good (like a party invite) then i accept but turn up and call the person a totally different name the whole night (hi doug, oh what your name is james, oh damn, sorry doug!)

yes it is not wrong to be annoyed at a wrong call
but too much annoyed is
try to make others understand your name but be cool
dont anger freind
they show an affection sometimes by calling it wrong way
try to understand that
and in case of mine u wouldnt beleive

Lol sorry to break it to you,but yelling at someone for spelling your name wrong..either you need to take a anger management class,or your ultra sensitive.I mean,come on,its just some misspell on your name..no need to get mad at anyone,sheesh.The only thing to do to stop it is to well,just basically say, 'That's not how you spell my name.' not,'OMG! YOU IDIOT!YOU SPELLED MY NAME WRONG!'

So my names no Megan but sometimes I have that problem, you would believe how stupid people are.. my name is Jacob or Jake for short, not Jakob, or Jekob, or Jack. Its amazing the stupidity of people. But dont freak its not your name its the stupid people in this world who cant spell it.

Yes, you're being over-sensitive. Relax. You're placing much too much emphasis on a name. Rejoice in that you have friends who want to spend time with you. It's sad to think you'll alienate anyone because they spelled your name wrong. When it happens, just respond in a mature, adult way: "Excuse me, but let me show you how I spell my name."

ah yea my name can be spelled almost 10 differnt was, get over it does it really matter you know who they mean just let them know politely and maybe they will remember the correct way you like your name spelled
