Kataklezyma is right. I downloaded the anti-spyware as well and it's excellent. And they're both free. There are high-level versions they have for sale but you don't have to buy them. Just take the free stuff.

It only takes a few minutes and even I worked it out and I'm not really good on computers. If it's anything complicated I have to ask my nephew :) but this was easy!

EDIT: Spectator's right too. Thanks, man! -- The virus stuff is under AVG's brand but you download the Ewido in the same website. And the virus updates are also free. I got new updates today.

You probably have to renew your subscription. Delete it and download Avast Home Edition (Free and excellent)

When you do, Avast will ask you do you want to run a scan on reboot, Say yes to make sure you have no malware lurking on your machine.
By the way you will have to register and you will be e-mailed the key. Keep this safely because they require you to re-register after about 14 months.

I used Norton for years but find Avast so much better and hassle free

If it's Norton Antivirus then you need to buy it again. Thats why I don't use Norton anymore but if it's AVG then they have a free edition. Go to www.griftsoft.com to look for the free AVG download if you need to update it really badly(you have to reinstall sometimes) or try it out.
