2 - is filthy rich
3 - made his money in the most raw and unfettered region of capitalism - currency speculation (two side-effects of his very successful speculations were the 1992 downward revaluation of the British Pound and the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997-1999, the latter of which caused terrible hardship for tens of millions of poor people)
4 - uses VERY LARGE amounts of his money to influence the most important political races in the US (in exclusive favor of left-wingers, for those of you who haven't been paying attention)
5 - is an immigrant to the US.
So, my question is - is he a Good Guy or a Bad Guy?

Currency speculation is part of the global financial system. All large (and increasingly mid-sized) banks and financial insitutions try to make money the same way. If you have a 401K or a Roth IRA, chances are you're an indirect financier of currency specualtion.
Is he a good guy or a bad guy?
He hasn't broken any laws, so the liberal (libertarian really) in me is tempted to say he is a "good guy".
