value of 1969 colt golden spike pistol. with 22 mag. cylinder. letters from colt say its one of a kind?

I recieved letters from the colt president that informed me that they never produced a gold plated 22 mag. cylinder. I was told it was the only one they new of in existance.

If Colt didn't produce the gun with the plated cylinder, then it was done after the gun left the factory. If this is the case, it took away value from the gun as a collector's piece, NOT Add to it.
