You can go for the fall decorations now and add the Halloween decorations at Halloween, If most of the stuff is not spooky related do it now, It will be fine to have the pumpkins etc up. Have fun and let him help and if some neighbors think it is too early so what? Your kid is having fun so they can mind their own business. Oh, and by the way Halloween is a good time to get the kids a new toothbrush and remind them to take care of those happy smiles of theirs. Also be sure to check any candy they get for tears or tampering before letting them have any. Have fun!!!

Well lets see, It is Sept. and the stores have already put up Christmas Trees....so my guess is you are supposed to start decorating for Halloween right after Easter!

seriously..my family waited until October...sometimes Oct 1st...but waited on the Pumpkin carving so it wouldn't be all rotten by Halloween.

Have fun...Halloween has the COOLEST decorations of all holidays...I do not decorate anymore, because I live alone..but my friends go all out and its great!!!!

I usually start in the first week of October. It's not too early and still leaves enough time to have the decorations up for a while.

When people start is just a matter of preference. You could start 2 weeks or even a month before halloween. Its up to you. For me, i might decorate next week.

I always start on October 1st in my room.I say room mostly cuz I live with my parents right now.I like to put up the widow decals around the house and they enjoy them too.Although especially since HALLOWEEN is my birthday they kind of dont mind much what I do for decorations.Well as long as its not corny or cheesy which of course I dont do (lol).I like to get decorated cookies, cake, dishes when I can find them.

well, I just got back from Target and they were all decked out! I'd say October 1st. No one needs more thana month of Halloween decorations. You could already start on Fall deco stuff though! Candles and wreaths with autumn leaves and the like.

I usually start around the first of October. Halloween is my thing. I love having a party for my grandchildren. They love staying in and handing out the candy more than going door to door themselves. A very happy time!

I agree with most of the answers.....decorate with fall foliage stuff right now like painted pumpkins, gords, decorative leaves, etc. Then start putting the scary stuff out about two weeks before Halloween like ghosts, scary pumpkins, spider, witches, etc.

I would say star on October 1st. Its far enough away from Halloween that you'd be able to have it up for a while but not so early that you would get tired of it. Go for Oct. 1st. Thats what I say.
