Sounds like you've decided who you are and what you're capable of. You've labeled yourself subconciously and that label taints all your efforts. If you really want to help youself you're going to have to Actaully believe that what you KNOW about yourself may, in fact be wrong.
At any age, you can still learn or do anything, but it will take work to truely internalize the new information - especially if it's contradictory to what you already know..
Best Effort is an interesting concept. What's your best effort? best effort to do what exactly?
you're ability to find gaps in a system that you can fill and make you rich/famous? (someone invented velcro, now they're loaded)
unless it's althletisim we're talking about, in which the shape of your body is the sole determinate of potential cababiltiy, you really can achieve anything you want. That's the rub -you need to want it.
If you haven't gotten anywhere, it's because you didn't want to, not because your from some part of some country or some race, or any other circumstancial fact. You don't want to live anything but an average life.

What you need to do is change yourself. Understand that up until this very moment you've absolutely believed in your own intellectual and emotional boundaries. They've been as concrete to you as your name and age. Understand that you're wrong. and you're halfway there.

How do you know that? NO ONE knows that. Youare what you make yourself out to be. So find what you are strong in and build on it.
