Yes this is a birthday poem that was turned into a birthday song many years ago. It's heritage is Latin. It's called "Las Mañanitas" which means "The lovely little Mornings" in spanish. It's also called "The Birthday Song" by millions of latin people, and other races included. It's a very special song to give anyone on their birthday whether they are Latin or not. I'll give it to you in Spanish and the translation in English.
