Who truly knows as yet scholars are not quite certain what mountain is the Biblical Mount Ararat? The search continues as with so many items described in The Bible 'not finding' is still not proof that it did not or does not exist. Here is an article you can peruse. Peace......

The search for Noah's Ark
Main article: Searches for Noah's Ark
For centuries, Mount Ararat (pictured here) has been searched for remains of Noah's ark. Now, Mount Sabalan, over 300 km (200 miles) away, is under investigation. The prospect of finding the location of Noah's Ark in the "Mountains of Ararat" has held fascination since ancient times. This effort became more widespread in the early 19th century, and claims have been made on a number of occasions, usually turning out to be hoaxes.
Dr. Bob Cornuke of the fundamentalist Christian Bible Archeology Search and Exploration Institute (BASE Institute) has suggested Mount Sabalan in Iran as the ark's final resting place. Cornuke led expeditions to Mount Sabalan, but found nothing. In June 2006 Cornuke claimed to have found a massive structure made of what appears to be wood. Samples have been sent to Texas and Florida for analysis. BASE Institute members hiked for seven hours, climbing 13,000 feet before making the reported discovery on Mount Suleiman in the Alborz mountains, near Takht-i-Suleiman north-west of Tehran. Several pictures of a section of the alleged ark have been made public.[32]

There is some evidence that the Black Sea was cut off from the Med by a catastrophic flood which deposited enough to almost block up the Bosporus. In the early 90's an area in eastern Turkey was declared a no go area because specialist archaeologists from the USA and Turkey said they had found remains of a ship which could be the Ark on Mt. Ararat. (In Turkish its called Cudi - the Jewish mountain) However at that time, that area of eastern Turkey was also reputed to be a hot bed for Kurdish freedom fighters infiltrating from Iran. The Ark might just have been a cunning plot to keep people out of the area.

NO, there's a rich fanatic who has financed many expeditions to places on mount Ararat where he hes said the ark was.
He's always turned up empty handed. There isn't enough water on the earth, in the earth or the sky to raise the water level high enough to cover even a modest sized mountain like Ararat.
It's a fable, get over it.

Yes, when the area was not under the control of anyone in particular a team of scientists went up on the mount which incidently is a mountain range not just a solitary hill. A whole lot of artifacts were recovered..... you can get more detail on www.Noahsark.com

no way! There were some "geologists" a while ago who found some rocks (note: ROCKS; not part-fossilised structural timbers from an ancient ship; actual ROCKS) that were vaguely shaped a bit like a boat. Just because the Turks wouldn't let them excavate, they went away without discovering that they were deluding themselves. Had they dug, and found, er, rocks, we might have been spared this nonsense. But some other nonsense would have taken its place for sure, so never mind.

The thing that looks like a ship is a rock formation. It may have given rise to the story in the first place.

The Ark was not a boat, It was a giant box constructed of wood.
I do not believe it possible for it to have survived this long.

I've heard rumours to that affect. Unless its proven, I can't accept it to be true.
