The tigers no longer have a 10 game lead, they now have a 3 game lead, and had lost the best record to the Mets.
Since the break it is the Twins with the best record.

The Tigers are treading water and will be lucky to make it to the playoffs. In fact, I dare say they won't. I think the Twins win the Central and the Chi Sox the wild card.

It doesnt matter if they have the best record or not.
What matters is where they finish on Oct.1st.
I do hope The Mets end up with the best record in baseball.
That doesnt mean diddly squat as far as I am concerned.
The last 2 Detroit teams that ended up with the best records in their respective leagues (pistons & dead wings) didnt fare well in the playoffs. So I really do hope The mets end up with the best record.
As I said, it doesnt mean crap.

They are having a great year although they have been stumbling of late. I think they can still win the division though.
