doctor's say you should gain about 25 lbs during pregnancy. In the second and third trimester you should gain about 2 lbs a week. To restrict during pregnancy is dangerous and could lead to small birthweight, stillbirth, premature labor, and a slew of other problems. this is a time when you have to think of your baby and not just yourself. That being said, don't go over board either. If you have to snack try snacking on something nutritious. I have an eating disorder. Believe me it's hard not to just think of yourself and your body getting fatter and fatter. But the truth is I'd rather be fat and pregnant than skinny and not pregnant.

it's healthy to gain around 25 pounds during pregnancy. If you will listen to your body, your baby needs, eat healthy food and don't go crazy on sweets and stuff, you don't need to think about controlling your weight. If you feel hungry, eat, means your body needs that nutrition. Forget about dieting. But again don't stuff yourself with junk food and sweets. There are good chances you'll be the same soon after birth. Good luck.

Everybody is different and some people gain more weight then others. You should not try to go on a diet while pregnant because your baby needs all of the nutrients in order to grow properly. What you should do is try to eat healthier, instead of fried foods, and soda's, drink more water and eat vegetables and fruits.
Stay away from deserts... You will be fine please do not worry yourself about this.. (Good Luck)!!!!!

i agree with everything the first answer says- this is all about the baby, not you.
The best way to have a good body afterwards is to breastfeed. I was a size smaller than I have been in years after 5 months.

you should be worried about the baby being healthy, not your weight gain. No matter what happens you WILL gain weight. trying to stay at a certain weight now may cause to baby to have problems.

DO NOT try to control your weight through any sort of dieting. Your baby must get FULL nutrition. However, there is nothing wrong with exercise....swimming, walking, low impact activities

This is the chance to eat what ever you want and how much take advantage of that. Just eat healthy food and do some light weight exercise, walking, stair stepper. Try Yoga to. Just don't be overly concerned about it because you don't want to deprive your baby of the nutrients that it needs to be healthy, also breast feeding helps to.
