i dont think that tying a string round them will help - I belive that it is a day case or may even be done in the dr's surgery.
you must get your levels in check though - it can be a sign of serious problems

Don't even think of removing them!! How do you know they are colesterol spots? Ask to see a dermatologist.

you dont get rid of them. they are like cholesterol storage... and wont you look rather silly with no eyelids...

get your cholestrol down and they should go on there own
