Oh...all ya gotta do is try some 600 count or 1200 count sheets...and you'll be able to tell the difference.

Imagine if you will, the difference between the feel of a baby's bottom and some old guys shriveled hairy butt...trust me...thread count in sheets have the same sorta distinction.

Not that big of a difference, but yes I can tell.

Asides from the feel, they are also more stain resistant than say a 180 thread count sheet.

They feel better, and properly laundered, last longer than lower count sheets.

Over 600 count is a little excessive, but I have enjoyed sheets in an hotel with what was called an equivalency number, and they supposedly corresponded to 1200 count sheets. Nice.

Addendum: If you really want to know, do you want to come over and test drive some 600s.

There is no difference, I think. A sheet is a sheet. Good question....I never thought of that before.

High thread counts make the material feel soft and smooth. They feel much nicer.

Yes it does. I will itch if I don't have 600 thread. The more thread the better.

I have a friend who either most definitely knows the difference and if he doesn't he would most definitely love to know the difference, damn he is so annoying sometimes

I don't see a difference maybe it is just the price that is different.
