I'm sure that many of you are as excited as I am now that the 2006 NFL season is here. However there is a bit of unsolved business from last season. I want to know why there was so much "HOOPLA" over whether the Indianoplis Colts would have an undefeated season? There is only ONE team, ie, the Miami Dolphins who hold that lofty record. There were so many sportcasters, who thought that since the season was longer that it made a difference. The NFL could play as many games as Major League Baseball, and it still wouldn't matter. There can only be ONE team which can claim to be the FIRST to go undefeated. Any team after, can only TIE.

Yes, that is very true- however, it is possible for a current team to go undefeated and win more games than the Miami Dolphins as the length of schedule has increased. What does a fake Mona Lisa have to do with your question?

No. I think the Colts could have paid Peyton a little less and used the savings to help aid the funding of the new stadium instead of relying on the city and state to pay.

YOU JUST SAID IT YOURSELF...IF THE COLTS PLAYED MORE GAMES THAN MIAMI, AND WENT UNDEFEATED..THEN THEY WOULD BOTH OWN AND SHARE THE RECORD FOR AN UNDEFEATED SEASON AND MOST CONSECUTIVE GAMES WON IN A SINGLE SEASON....ALSO THE TALENT IS FAR BETTER THAN IN 72, NEW RULES..NEWER OFFENCES WITH MUCH BIGGER LINEMEN...AND THOUGH ITS TRUE MIAMI HAD AN UNDEFEATED SEASON, AND THEY WERE FIRST TO DO IT...ITS EXTREMELY RARE IN THE PROFFESSIONAL SPORTS WORLD TO DUPLICATE THAT FEAT...SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU HAVE A LIL HATERATION FOR MANNINGS TASKS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
