Heard a song and want to know who it's by and all I can remember is "hate me now" and he's telling her to find someone who will do for her what he couldn't or wouldn't do and talks about how good she was to him. Any guesses? It's popular now or was recently.

I believe the song you are talking about is called HATE ME - If that is the one it is by Blue October.
The song is about a man named Justin. He is singing the song to his mother who was the only person that believed in him while he was strung out on drugs and alchol. He is mad at her because she has died.
