How old is your brother? Does he know what a homosapien is or is he thinking it is a sexual preference? Sibling arguments are a normal thing, and yes he will get angry if you call him as what he may think is a "homo" Natural male instinct. Unless he is gay and you should not be making fun of his sexual preference anyway.

you can first explain to him what a homosapien is...and find out why he acts the way the does. or you can stop calling him that, if it really seems to offend him.

It is probably because he doesn't know the meaning of homo sapiens (=lat. thinking human), and he won't admit he's something he doesn't know about.
