I am so short!?

Question

I'm 12 and I'm 5'0! My moms familiy is short but my dad's side is tall, but my dad isn't tall. I would love to one day be 5'6 is there any way to do this!

I'm in 8 th grade and if my class were to go in size order on a line I would be like the 6 th person

ok im 14 and im 5'0 you still have a long way to go...for me i only have a couple years and im worried about being short my whole life

Relax, you are only 12! my cousins were 5'0 at 13 and grew 3-4 more inches. That was the max though. Depends if you got your period to early. That will stunt your growth fast. If you just got it or have not yet. You can grow up to 6 inches more

Dude it's all right to be 5" at the age of 12. but if you wanna grow a little tall, drink loads and loads of milk as it contains calcium that makes the bones grow and young people keep on growing till about the age of 25. Don't bother. It's all about good health.

Wait...ur 12 and in th 8th grade? lol. That's not really possible unless you got skipped up...but back to ur subject. You can try stretching and exercising a lot. Like for example: jump a lot. It will proably have a chance to make u taller. Otherwise.....sorry theres not way to grow taller...its all in genetics. If your parents are short, then ur proably gonna be short too. If ur parents are tall, then ur gonna be tall and milk doesnt help u grow taller lol..it just helps u devlope strong bones and stretches ur muscles.

You are 12, you could easily grow another 8 or 10 inches before you are fully grown. Relax. If you want to ensure maximim growth, eat properly, get plenty ofexercise and sleep. don't do drugs or smoke, and don't diet. I wish I had been 5'0 at 12. I was only 4'8" and I'm now 5'4"

i was either 5'0 or 4'11 when i was twelve...and both sides of my family are short...

wow...your grade's really tall then...even if i were 5'0 right now...(i'm 14 and 5'2)...i would be higher up than 6th in line. there are upperclassmen that are at or shorter than that here.

don't worry...you'll grow. when i was 12-13 years old...i grew about 4 inches.

i know someone who's16 years old...and has no physical problems...and her doctor says she'll be lucky if she even reaches 5'0 (she's 4'10).

Beautiful and expensive presents come in small packets. My most favourite relative was my paternal grandmother who was, even at the age of 60, a most beautiful woman, who stood no more than 5'2". It is not your size that counts: read on and follow the example of the tiny Wren:

The Wren, the Wren, King of All Birds.

The Great Bald Eagle, or scrawny Hen,
Is no better than the Wren or Tit,
It’s not your size - it’s what you do with it.

NO i'm 12 and earlier this year i was 5ft that's actually a really tall height for a 12 yr old. i'm only 3 inches taller now give it time!!!

you can do streches..i heard that if you reach up to things you can get taller when i was 10-11 yrs old i use to strech up to grab stuff so i can get taller and now after a couple yrs im 5'7 I dont know if the streching worked but i got tall! or just wear high heels! thats what my friends do!

girl ur not short im 13 and im 5 2 so your not that short one of my gurls is 12 and is 4 9 so u r fine u r like about average when ur 13 ur probally b like 5 2 so when ur like older and stop growin u gonna b like 5 8 so ur fine...ok???
