1.2.X.U. - Wire

The song is about gay sex in a public restroom while the "x" in the song title is a substitution for the f-word. I would suggest finding the recorded version off of the punk compilation "Faster and Louder Hardcore Punk Rock" series put out by Rhino Records a few years back.

Salvation/ Roots Radicals By Rancid

"Salvation"

Come on baby won't you show me what you got
I want your salvation

there's a neighborhood called blackhawk
where all the rich people hide
I was down on my luck working for the salvation army
The shelter is where i reside
Everyday we drive into blackhawk
and we pick up the offerings
Microwave, refrigerator for the suffering

Come on baby won't you show me what you got
I want your salvation

I can't believe these people live like kings
Hidden estates and diamond rings
I'm a rat out on a mission
I'm in your front yard under suspicion

Come on baby won't you show me what you got
I want your salvation

"Roots Radicals"

Took the 60 bus
out of downtown Cambell.
Ben Zanotto, he was on there he was waitin' for me
all the punk rockers
and the moon stompers
are out on the corners where
they sparing for change

I started thinkin'.
you know I started drinkin'.
you know I don't remember too much of that day.
Somethin' struck me funny when we ran out of money
Where do you go now when your only 15?

With the music execution and the talk of revolution
it bleeds in me and it goes...

Give 'em the boot the roots the radicals
Give 'em the boot you know I'm a radical
Give 'em the boot the roots the reggae on my stereo

The radio was playin' Desmond Dekker was singin'
on the 43 bus as we climb up the hill
Nothin' incoming but the reggae drummin',
and we all come from unloving homes.
(I said) "Why even bother" and I pick up the bottle
Mr. bus driver please let these people on
rude girl Carol was a mini-skirt girl
my blurry vision saw nothin' wrong.

[repeat]

Are you looking for good old stuff? Try anything from the Dead Kennedys and the New York Dolls. The Clash has some good stuff too but they started to turn more pop in the 80's so you have to look for their 1970's stuff.

The Pink Spiders are not punk and it's "Little Razorblade".

"The Press Corpse" by Anti-Flag is a song I will never get tired of.
