The Hollies unless someone had a version that didn't make it first. Doubtful because I would bet that they wrote it since it fits in perfectly with their harmonies.
Did you all know that Graham Nash, once Joni Mitchell's boy friend, and then part of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, was a big part if not the biggest part of the Hollies.
They had great harmonies around the time of the Beatles. You should listen to "Bus Stop," a great song.
