Unlike Yoga the origins of Tai Chi are unknown. In order to properly understand Tai Chi people must first perceive it for what it is. It is such a tool, more like a man made device designed to bring about harmony and balance between energy and mass.
The daily training of tai chi brings balance and harmony to the body and soul. Memory and concentration are strengthened, breathing becomes deep and even, and the muscles return to a natural relaxation. The main principle is to have the body and the senses to function as a unity. It became popular around the world as a way to improve health and well being.

Yes. The same as any martial art it lies in the application. It consists of blocks, strikes, evasions and attacks. In an actual fight you would have to speed up the movements though.they are normally slowed down for maximum physical training.Remember it is for self defense not bullying. Peace.

It is, actually.

But all fighting forms really are like that game of rock, paper, scissors. A technique that is useful against one fighting form may be inefficient against a different one. Which is why the better fighters tend to be those who can adapt quickly and step beyond any one inflexible way of doing things.
