A HUMAN BEING is one tenth as stupid as a chicken! Because the average IQ score for humans is 100!

This is good question!
I have always questioned the value of 'IQ' ratings.
For one thing, I worked as a while with adults with learning difficulties - some of them were assessed with very low IQ's. Indeed, if they were given Mensa type tests would have scored little better than the 'chicken'. Seriously, They had less problem solving ability than some animals. Did that make them less than human??
But I often wonder what it is that IQ tests are really measuring. most of those published seem to test very specific, pattern recognising skills. My mother always fails these, and comes out with an IQ of 60, which, getting back to topic, is about the same as I've seen quoted for chimpanzees! My mum is a very creative and artistic woman, and while I have a deep respect and affection for Pan Troglodities, I would rate her as somewhat higher in intelligence! So how did they measure the chimps? did they ask them 'Which is the odd one our of Alaska, Austria, Australia, Argentina'? or which comes next in the series 1, 3, 5, 9 ....'?
So, to answer the question, no, I don't think you can compare IQ across species, and I think it is a dodgy and flawed measurement within our own species!!

For your information a chickens IQ is no where near 10 not even close.
A chicken is much smarter than you may think and if you would see how smart they really are you would know. A average chickens IQ is not 10 it is much higjer than even a pet dog or cat and way higher than a human child as tests have been done and chickens where proven to be much smarter and social than a arrange 4 year olds.
A average human IQ is not 100.
The average today is know around 110 as it went up since this thread started. A Han is not 1-10th as smart as a chicken... That makes no sense...
