they have the footage and his manager wants to have it destroyed. its wrong for anyone to want to see it. no one should have to see how he died, its bad enough it being explained in full on the internet and news. think about his wife and two children would they really want to see how he died and have it broadcast. i dont think so...

He was filming a show for kids when this happened, I hope they never release the footage, it would be horrible to see someone die, but I'm sure some idiot is out there trying to figure out how to get the best price for it.

They did catch the footage. It should leak out onto the internet soon. But I don't want to watch it, I would feel like I'm disrespecting him. It's still so early, I hope his family doesn't ever watch that video. Makes me feel sad...

They did video tape it, but it is highly doubted that they would show his death. Someone else is finishing the documentary though. The footage will probably be concealed or destroyed (for obvious reasons).

It was mentioned in many news papers and on TV...
So my answer to your question is YES!!!...
But like others who answered your question: I don't think we will see the footage... Unless his wife says it's ok... But I think she wont...

Not necessarily, the camera man could have been just shooting the reef and Steve could have been swimming along side him.

They do have his death on film, and police investigators have watched it, but they would never be so disrespectful to his family as to release his death on the internet or on t.v.

Watch the news!
The wife has the tape!
She has taken it with herself!
She will destroy it later!!
Why do you want to see it!
RIP STEVE!
