My best friend moved to China and i want to send her a gift. I would really like to make it myself. Please keep in mind that it needs to be realitivly inexpensive and easy to ship overseas.
I would really appreciate any ideas.

burn her a cd with both your favorite songs and decorate the cd for her. its easy, thoughtful, and inexpensive to make and to ship!

Well, yarn is not that expensive.
So, why not crochet her an afghan??
It would fit on any type of furniture that she may have, or even if nice enough, be displayed on the wall :)
Learn something new, and crochet an afghan and its not that expensive to make, just time consuming..(My Mother in law, used to be able to kick one out in two weeks or less, when she started and got down to really doing her thing!, but, she was experienced at it, as thats what they used to make and sell when my wife was a kid).

A hand made card would do.That depends on how creative you're.It would'nt really matter how it comes out anyway,the worse the better cos she might just have the best laugh of her day and tell her the trouble u went through making it.

If you have any pictures of the two of you together, copy them, and send them in a card telling them you miss them...
