I want to make make-up (I know it sounds weird) so I thought I would need a degree as a cosmetologist. My cousin said that I need a degree in chemistry. Wich is wich. or do i need a different one.

Chemistry.

Cosmetologist puts the make up on to make all the pretty colors go with each other and the client. A chemist creates the concoctions that make all the pretty colors that don't burn your skin off.

It would be either a chemistry or biochemistry degree. I am assuming by "making" make-up you mean creating new products, not simply working in a manufacturing plant. To verify what I thought, I visited Loreal.com and looked at their job opportunities and there were openings for "chemists/biochemists". Hope that helps.

It doesn't sound weird to me, it sounds interesting! I think a chemistry degree would be appropriate. I found this link I may just try making some of this mineral makeup myself!

Your cousins right, chemistry or bio-chemistry would be your best bet. ALthough I'd suggeste e-mailing some make up companies and asking them.

You would need one in chemistry, with courses in human biology and most likely psychology.

yes, i would think you need a more science-oriented major than cosmetology.
