People who are negative tend to be more critical because they need to bring down those around them. In their minds, they feel they're improving their status, when it's really only in a *relative* manner.
For instance, *only for the sake of argument,* let's say I work with someone who makes $60K per year while I'm making half that. If I were really negative, my jealousy might cause me to want to make that person lose that job. If that person gets demoted, fired, etc. I still didn't make myself any better - I'm only on more level ground with *that* person.
Sometimes it's all about hindsight - people who wait for others to make mistakes will often act as though they knew the "right" thing to do the whole time. "You should've done it *this* way." Well, where was this person *before* I screwed up?
And don't get me started on people who think *their* way of doing something is the "only" way.....GRRRRR.....

everybody is quick to critic so it is obviously a lot easier b/c most of those people are also incorect
