It's real in the since that they are actually doing what you see on tv. But they do know in advance who's gonna win. The moves really hurt though. You can't fake being hit with a chair. The blood is real, they carry small blades in the tape on their wrists and cut themselves with it. If you watch them carefully you can see them getting the blade out sometimes and you can catch them slicing their foreheads too. Also the ring is made up of a steel frame with 2X6's on top of that then a wrestling mat. Not much to protect you when you get slammed down.

oh my god i feel for you but i must tell you theres no santa claus and wrestleing is 95 percent acting . they must be great athletes and in tip top condition to do those stunts so that normal people will drop those jaws but the blood is a result of a magic trick used by them before the match . a blood packet either in their hand or in the hair many different ways to do this . and yes sometimes they actually hurt eachother but they use this to their advantage to give croud the realism but everything is preordained and practised and they have secret signals telling each other im really hurt here ease up. they are tough guys and they dent those trash lids and chairs by brute force but most times those chairs are special made or ready for easy denting. dont lose faith its worth the money better than daytime soap opras anyway . they do get hurt for real sometimes i think thats why most watch hopeing to see some real flesh pop out but they are actors and buddys after i promise you lol

Wrestling is what is known as "sports entertainment." Think of them as stunt men. Yes, sometimes the blood and dents in chairs are real, but actors and stunt men get injured all of the time. It is a job that requires strength, endurance, determination, and an incredible work ethic. But, the fights themselves are staged like a show. In short, it is totaly FAKE.... I know because I am a trainer in Georgia who teaches people how to wrestle.

NO! IT IS 100% FAKE
the blood is simple they have little capsules and they break
them and blood comes out
or when the ref is tryin to help them, he is secretly
handing them a little blade to cut themselves
or before matches they make little cuts on them so that
they will bleed easily
The chairs and tables are really flimsy and easily get dented and broken
it is all acting
but sometimes they really hurt themselves

It's all set up it's been set up since 1985. Since Vince Mcmahon junior Was chairman of the WWF he is still chairman of the WWE. When vince senior was chairman it didnt used to be fake then some of the blood is fake its artificial... and they are specially trained to handle pain like getting hit by chairs... and some of the punches are also fake... about..80% of the moves are fake excluding dome of the grapples... in some grapples they just jump with it.

It's all scripted. However there is still wrestling that is real, but it's not anything like smackdown. They do get hurt. I wouldn't mind the pain either if I made that much money.
