I dunno...it might be kind of strange, but I'm very sentimental. If your mom is in the market for a rental, wants to live alone, you might want to try helping her find somewhere else to live so you wouldn't have to worry about the strangeness of money. I mean, if you NEED the money from this rental and feel awkward taking it from her, it might just cause problems. Good luck.

Totally fair! She has to live somewhere, if she weren't renting from you, she'd have to pay someone else.
I think it's very fair that you are cutting your rent in half for her. I hope she appreciates it, and I hope she's not guilt-tripping you into thinking you need to provide her a rent-free place to live!

she's your mom.. don't think so it such a good idea you charge your own mom. I mean she had taken care of you for the past ... year.. But anyway, it depends on you to decide it. Many factors you should consider.
Good luck.

Of course ... your rental property is tied to your income just as her income is tied to her expenses, including rent. Make sure she can afford her with her other expenses though.

why let your mom rent it? why not let her live with you? would that be possible?...
as a son/daughter, i dont think it's reasonable..but it also depends on the situation and depends on the decision of your mom...
