troops ‘had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the country side of what ever country is at war.
So can you show what is fair about any of this.

it seems they try to make you think it is, by putting in "rules of engagement", but war is not fair. Look at the people who lost a love one or the kid that is killed, how is it fair to them.
sometimes wars are needed, but they are never fair

no. it is not fair. it is not meant to be fair. war is hell, and the only way to get it over with as soon as possible is to take every unfair advantage there is and use it aganst your enemy.
