for the people that go to pubs but dont drink

This oft quoted comment, quite specifically refers to drinking ALCOHOL, and this does not prevent a driver from taking non-alcoholic drinks on board.
In any case, since it is only the driver who is advised against drinking (alcohol) a car is generally the most practical means of taking others to the pub, and providing car parking places is a way of ensuring the customers can access the pub, and also have the means to get home again afterwards.
Don't forget that pubs are places for socializing, and sometimes can be fairly remote.

Get your point but the laws have changed so on the whole the Pubs with big car parks serve lunch etc, so they look like its not there problem.But in truth I believe no drinking if u drive(from younger experience) cos alcohlol changes your thinking and the next thing your doing is nose ups and doulbles and giving peeps lifts home.lol

Not everybody drinks alcoholic beverages at the pubs, they are a fine place for dining and meeting other people.

I think all pubs with car parks should required to allow customers free overnight parking if they wish to leave their cars and take a taxi.

Because not all people that go to pubs are supid and selfish and think its ok to drive home after drinking!
