Yah! If your dryer is electric, the heating element (usually there are two) is out. Not too tought to replace, especially if you have a helper. You'll know this is the case if the drum turns but there is no heat. If the thing won't turn on or move at all, it is probubly the timer. If that is the case, I'd get another dryer or call a repair person. by the time you pay a repair guy and pay for a part you can almost buy a new or used dryer that is working.
If it is gas, the problem is probubly and ignitor. They are what fails on gas dryers. Just replace it and hope. They are pretty cheap and easy to replace too.

I would try the Whirpool web site. Electric dryers are notorious for having the elements burnout. That may be your problem.

Check your exhaust vent. If it is clogged with lint, that will cause it. Just pull the lint out and you should be O.K.
