Depends how strong the signal is where you are. I certainly do but use an amplified indoor ariel plugged into the back of my freeview box and it works very well.

Yes i use an indoor ariel to view freeview, but i needed to get a booster which amplifies your signal for better reception quality

The previous aerial that you had for the 5 terrestrial channels received't artwork very well. you'll want to purchase one which will get carry of the satellite tv for pc freeview channels effectively. there is not any rationalization why it truly is going to no longer artwork if fixed contained in the loft. the proper reception is received with aerial height.

As long as the signal is reasonably strong it should be ok. Might not get all the channels though. I use this one: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=29193&criteria=digital%20aerial&doy=9m9 It has a large surface area and an amplifier so it usually gets 87% + signal strength

If you have a digital t.v you can buy aerials that can recieve digital signals from electrical outlets. If you don't have a digital t.v then you'll need a set top box.
